Addie Lucia PAINE was b. 23 Sept 1858 in Leicester, VT to parents Edward John PAINE (1829-1905) and Sarah P. LAIRD (1825-1892) who were married 3 Dec 1857 in Leicester, VT. Addie appears to have been their only child. Addie married Marshall Olmstead or Olmsted SNOW (1852-1925) on 2 Jan 1877 in Leicester, VT.
Addie and Marshall had 6 children including Eleanor Alma “Ellany” Jenny Paine; Charles Edward; Warren James; Ida Estella or Estelle; Joseph Williams or William; and Della Adeline SNOW, all born between 1877 and 1891. Addie died 5 Oct 1949 in Lynn, MA.
This old studio photograph of Addie PAINE SNOW which was taken at the Moody Studio in Rutland, VT. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Addie appearing to be in her 30's or 40's at the time the photograph was taken.
She is also identified as "Mother's Cousin" and "Capron + Paine" and "Paine side of the family".

RUGGLES - REEVES Family Photographs

Theodosia “Theo” Gould RUGGLES was b. 8 Feb 1856 in Essex Co., NY or Boston, MA to parents George Fitch RUGGLES (1818-1893)
and Louesa “Louisa” GOULD (1825-1908) who were married 26 Apr 1855 in Rutland Co., VT and it appears that she was their only child.
Theodosia married William Titsworth REEVES (1855-1938) on 12 Nov 1879 in Aurora, IL and they had 5 children including Helen; Allan or Allen Gould;
Marjorie; Louise; and George Ruggles REEVES, all born between 1884 and 1895.
Theodosia died 13 Sept 1946 in Oshkosh, WI and is buried in the Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
William Titsworth REEVES was b. 29 Oct 1855 in Aurora, IL to parents Charles Henry REEVES (1830-1923) and Lydia Bishop TOMLINSON (1830-1911)
who were married 5 Sept 1854 in Bridgeton Township, Cumberland Co., NJ. William was one of 5 children born to this couple including William Titsworth;
Joseph Tomlinson; Louise Tomlinson; Charles Henry “Harry”; and George Cattrell or Cottrell REEVES, all born between 1855 and 1872.
William died 25 Sept 1938 in Oshkosh, WI and is also buried in the Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora, IL.

Walter Lewis ROBERTS of Poultney

Walter Lewis ROBERTS was b. 17 Jan 1890 in Poultney, VT to parents Lewis or Robert Lewis ROBERTS (1840-1912) and Esther Alta “Allie” BALLARD (1858-1898). Walter was one of 5 children born to this couple including Ernest or Earnest Lewis; Gordon Lewis; Elizabeth; Walter Lewis; and Lynnie or Linnie ROBERTS, all born between 1883 and 1892. Walter married Christine “Christie” Anna MARSHALL (1900-1976) in 1921 in Vermont and they had 7 children including Beatrice Anna; Ilene Eyelyn; Alan Lewis; Norman Walter; and three other girls, all born between 1923 and 1934. Walter appears to have married a second time on 25 Jan 1947 in Poultney, VT to Mildred Jane “Molly” LEECH (1907-1988).
Walter died in Sept or Oct 1978 in Hudson Falls, NY and is buried in the Poultney Cemetery in Poultney, VT.

Walter appears to be a toddler at the time the photograph was taken.

7 MONROE Family Photographs

Francis “Frank” Frederick MONROE was b. 12 Jun 1841 in Chester or Londonderry, VT to parents Frederick Francis MONROE and Charlotte Caroline COOK. Frank was married three times, first to Sarah SOPER who died in 1867 and second to Ella COATES COFFEE Frank had three children with his first wife and an additional 7 children with his second wife. His third wife who he married on 23 Apr 1902 was Lucinda Lydia RAWSON. His ten children include Albert Henry; Francis F.; James Olden; Amos C.; Annie; Allen H.; Eddie Langdon; Minnie May; Calista A.; and Walter Thurlow MONROE, all born between 1861 and 1892.
At the time of his death on 21 Jun 1920 he was survived by his third wife Lucinda and 7 of his children including, Albert, Frank, James, Edwin, and Walter MONROE all of Windsor, VT, and Elmer MONROE of Randolph, VT, and Minnie MONROE of Bellows Falls, VT.
Luella “Ella” C. COATES was b. 1844 and was first married to George COFFEE or COFFEY. Ella’s second married was to Francis Frederick MONROE. Ella died 3 Sept 1898 in Windsor Co., VT and is buried in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor, VT.
James Olden MONROE was b. 14 Mar 1866 in Fayetteville, NY to these parents and he married Susan A. CORLISS (1869-1947) in 1903. James died 15 Jan 1931 in Vermont, and he is buried in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor, VT.
Elmer Ellsworth MONROE was b. 10 Dec 1870 in Windsor, VT and married twice, first to Emma Lucinda BASS (1863-1931) who he married in 1902 and second, he married Mary BARNARD (1875-1964). Elmer died 14 Nov 1949 in Pittsford, VT and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Pittsford, VT.
Minnie May MONROE was b. 23 May 1879 in Windsor, VT to Frank MONROE and Luella “Ella” C. COATES (1844-1898). She was one of Frank’s 10 children and in addition she had a brother, Charles Webster COFFEY (1871-1901) who was born to her mother Ella during her first marriage. Minnie married twice, first to Eugene LACROSS (1876-1898) and after he died, she married Frederick Nelson FREEMAN (1881-1959) in 1901. Minnie died 3 May 1967 in Brattleboro, VT and she is buried in the Saxtons River Cemetery in Saxtons River, VT.
Calista A. MONROE was b. 18 Dec 1882 in Windsor, VT to Frank and Ella MONROE and she married Burton Kenion BARLOW on 18 Feb 1899, and they had one son, Lawrence Kenyon BARLOW (1902-1903). Calista died 19 Feb 1904 in Acworth, NH and she is buried in the Acworth Cemetery in Acworth, NH.
Charles Webster COFFEY was born to George COFFEY and Ella COATES. Charles married Julia MCNAMARA (1870-1899) on 29 Aug 1893 in Walpole, NH and they had a son, Harold John COFFEE (1896-1956). Charles died 5 Apr 1901 in Windsor, VT and is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Bellows Falls, VT.

Richard Harwood Bugbee of Putney

Richard Harwood BUGBEE was b. 14 Apr 1912 in Putney, VT to parents Locke Harwood BUGBEE MD (1874-1939) and Maude or Maud Gertrude WRIGHT (1878-1943)
who were married 1898 in Pomfret, VT. Richard had one sibling, Tracy McMillian BUGBEE (1919-1919). Richard married Edith Dorothy JENSEN (1918-2006)
and they had a son Peter Locke BUGBEE. Richard died 24 Jul 1971 in Putney, VT and is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Putney, VT.
Their son Peter is said to have moved to Colorado at some point in time.
This old photograph of Richard Harwood BUGBEE was taken between 1907 and 1920 when he was 3 months old and weighed 12 ½ lbs. There is no photographer or location indicated on the photograph.

Carrie Louise BARBER was b. 9 May 1865 in Hubbardton, VT to parents Barton Whelpley BARBER (1828-1910) and Mary Etta or
Marietta “Mary” Eliza GARWELL (1833-1921). Carrie was one of 5 children born to this couple including, James Everett; Carrie Louise;
Adelbert “Bertie” Farwell or Fairwell; Frederic “Freddie” or “Fred” Delos; Edith Lorraine BARBER, all born between 1858 and 1870.
Carrie married Theron D. SICKLEY and she died 24 Jul 1956 in Rochelle, IL and is buried in the Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington, IL.
This old photograph of Carrie L. BARBER of Gardner, IL. The photograph was taken at the Morrell Studio in Bloomington, IL sometime in the late 1880's or early 1900's with Carrie appearing to be in her 20's at the time it was taken.
